Twinwoods Heat and Power

Client:
Saxlund

Adey Steel Ltd are coming towards the end of a nine month long project to supply the majority of all steelwork to a leading BioEnergy and materials handling firm Saxlund International, based in Southampton. This is a significant contract to supply proven biomass combustion and fuel handling solutions to Twinwoods Heat & Power in Bedfordshire.

The scope of works was not solely manufacture, but also designing elements of the structures in house.  The work has included a complex 10 tonne Combustion Furnace and full assembly of the components to allow a quick installation on site. In addition all the supporting structures and access equipment were also manufactured.

This local site has proved great for logistical planning and liaising with site managers to ensure the products are getting there exactly when required to suit the sensitive site programme.
