Adey Steel add impetus to Stoke supermarket build

28th October 2016

The Adey Steel team created some real momentum for an exciting retail project in Stoke on Trent this October by delivering the full structural steelwork package for a new PAK Foods outlet in the Dresden district of Stoke.

Working alongside Shah Builders of Nottingham, Adey Steel engineered and fabricated the special steel frame, before undertaking a five-phase installation on site. The complete structure weighed in at an approximate 60 tonnes and consisted of five 8-tonne truss sections, each measuring close to 22 metres in length and 3250mm in width.

The steelwork took a total of 12 days to erect, well inside the job’s programmed time, and gave Shah Builders added impetus for a project that will give local residents and businesses convenient access to a rich variety of ethnic foods and delicacies.
