QMC Stair Tower

Client:
Vinci

Location: Nottingham
Steelwork: Stair tower structure and balustrade

The Queens Medical Centre Tram station is part of the Nottingham Express Transport development, and offers staff and patients at the hospital a critical transport link.

Adey technical provided a one stop service for this multi-disciplinary structure. We detailed the lift shaft, support steel (which abuts the new civil works concrete tramway), the staircase itself, stair balustrade, concourse floor and glass screens, concourse balustrade, external walkway, roof steel and secondary cladding support steel. All this was coordinated with several different sub-contractors and resulted in an integrated design and quick problem free erection.
