Adey Steel were awarded the contract to supply Network Rail with fabricated overhead line electrification (OLE) structures for the Great Western route modernisation (GWRM). The works included several types of track structure including masts, telescopic-struts, cantilevers, booms and bracketry all fabricated to EXC 2 of EN 1090-1:2009 CE Marking regulation and galvanised to BS EN 1461:2009.

The programme of investment in the Great Western Main Line will improve the service performance of the line enabling new energy efficient trains to run on modern infrastructure securing a bright future for the national railway.
